Living in the Northwest, where it is cold and snowy for months at a time, we often think of spring and summer, and long for the days when we can be outside, enjoying the longer days, working in the garden, and enjoying the sunshine while eating a delicious slice of watermelon or picking some raspberries right out of the garden! I guess that is why lately we have been coming up with "fruit" and "summer" themed designs! We love summer!
This "fruit medley" table topper has a watermelon, orange, apple, cherry, pineapple, raspberry, strawberry and pear stitched in each scallop on a black wool background. Oh, and a dragonfly too! When complete, this design measures approximately 20" in diameter.
This is a great project to use some of your leftover wool scraps as the wool you will need for each piece of fruit isn't a lot! I promise you, you are going to want to make one of these for your home!
